Giovanni A. Osnago Gadda is a partner in CARNELUTTI Law Firm where he is a member of the Labour department.

Giovanni has more than twenty years’ experience in labour law and in-court and out-of-court industrial relations. He handles all aspects and issues involved in employment, whether subordinate, self-employment or agency, from its inception, to changes during performance, to (individual or collective) termination, in addition to privacy, welfare and occupational safety issues.

He represents Italian and multinational companies in several industries, including transportation and logistics, metalworking and mechanical engineering, chemistry, banking, finance, publishing, clothing, retail and restaurant services.

He is a member of AGI – Avvocati Giuslavoristi Italiani (Italian Labour Lawyers) and coauthors numerous labour law publications.

He graduated from the University of Milan in 1995 and was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2000. He has had rights of representation before the Italian Supreme Court since 2013.

He is a native speaker of Italian and is fluent in English and French.

On November 8, 2023 Giovanni Antonio Osnago Gadda took part to the round table organized to present the the outcome of TopLegal Labour Observatory (2nd Edition).
The research led by TopLegal has involved the inhouse teams of some of the major Italian corporate and banking entities and takes stock of the roles and expectations that companies place on external legal counsel in the labor law field, increasingly involved in the challenges posed to companies: technological innovation, evolution of the role and market flexibility, resilience to change and how to attract new talents.
The research takes a snapshot of the national ecosystem, the dynamic supply-demand of employment law services, and the constantly evolving role of the HR Directors.

Giovanni Antonio Osnago Gadda, along with Bianca Savini, co-authored the article “Proporzionalità e sufficienza della retribuzione: la giurisprudenza continua a supplire al vuoto normativo?” published on weekly magazine Guida al Lavoro edited by Il Sole 24Ore. It covers a current topic, providing an  updated and stimulating overview about the proportionality and sufficiency of remuneration.
