Cecilia Gozzoli is of counsel to CARNELUTTI Law Firm. She is a member of the firm’s corporate department, where her practice focuses on English law and international corporate and finance transactions, real-estate, cross-border matters and international conventions. Her previous experience includes working for English and US law firms and for a leading international bank.
She assisted several leading international banks in the issuance and placement of structured securities and funds. She advised, as UK local counsel, either the buyers or the sellers in the acquisition of several UK companies operating in a variety of sectors, from tech-fin to Italian food distribution, to chemicals and finance.
Cecilia took part to the Brexit Task Force set by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the Brexit transition period in London.
She is training as English Notary at the University College of London (UCL). She is regularly attending conferences as speaker on English law matters on several corporate, regulatory and financial legal subjects. Cecilia is member of several international professional associations and was awarded the recognition of one of the 99 Bocconi-graduated most influential women by the Bocconi University.
Cecilia was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2006 and admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2009.
She holds an LL.M. focused in Banking Law and Financial Regulation from London School of Economics and Political Science (2010).
British citizen too, Cecilia is member of City of London Solicitors' Company and has been admitted to the Freedom of the City of London.
Italian and English native speaker, Cecilia speaks also French.
