Federico Modugno is Of Counsel to CARNELUTTI Law Firm. He joined CARNELUTTI as an Associate in the Corporate Department in June 2019, after working in international commercial law firms and gaining experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
As a dual-qualified Italian lawyer and Solicitor of England and Wales, Federico advises on contentious issues relating to international acquisition transactions, and on the interpretation and drafting of English law governed commercial contracts.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Bologna Law School, he obtained an LLM in International Financial Law from King's College London and the GDL and LPC from BPP University, London.
Federico has been a lecturer in Mergers and Acquisitions Law at LIUC University Carlo Cattaneo, Castellanza (Varese) since 2021 and co-author, with Luca Arnaboldi, of The Law and Practice of Private Company Share Acquisitions in Italy: A Student's Guide (Firenze, Le Monnier Università, 2021) and co-editor, with Luca Arnaboldi, of Diritto e prassi delle acquisizioni societarie: Questioni aperte (Pisa, ETS, 2024) in which he contributed a chapter on the legal effect of a letter of intent.
On Monday November 21, Luca Arnaboldi will moderate the roundtable Diritto e pratica delle acquisizioni societarie: questioni aperte (Corporate Acquisitions Law and Practice: Open Issues), hosted by Università Statale di Milano. Speakers include Federico Modugno on Legal effect of a letter of intent: literal wording and interpretation of the intention of the parties.
