Mauro Festa is a partner in CARNELUTTI Law Firm. He is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property and Information Technology department. He has decades of experience in all areas of practice relating to new technologies, advertising law, privacy and IP, digital law, copyright, privacy and cyber security. In his experience, both as an in-house lawyer and as a private practioner, he has managed a considerable range of cases related to business matters, in the disciplines above.
Prior to join the Firm, Mauro founded its firm, in Milan, specialised in digital law, new technologies and AI, as well as IP, advertising and copyright law. His previous experience includes working as in-house lawyer at a leading investment bank and at a global beauty leader, and he also collaborated with a law firm in New York and at a boutique law firm in Milan.
Mauro is member, among other things, of the sectoral group on intellectual property organized by the European Union and EUIPO, which is proposed to make IP rules more homogeneous between Europe and Argentina.
He has been a lecturer at the LL. M in New Technology Law at Bocconi University in Milan as well as in several specialized Master's degrees at IlSole24Ore and at IULM University. He is a member of the Commission for the Study of European Union Law at the Milan Bar Council as well as a member of the Legal Commission of UPA (Utenti Pubblicitari Associati).
He holds a master's degree from Fontainebleau in Vision Culture and Business Strategy, and a certification in complex negotiation.
Of Italian mother tongue, he is fluent in Italian, English, Spanish and French; has some knowledge of Hebrew and has rudiments of Chinese.
